THE LOVE YOUR GARDEN STUDIO 2016
This gorgeous 2.4m x 2.4m Contemporary Cubed Studio was installed back in 2016 for the Love Your Garden tv show with Alan Titchmarsh.
After being approached by the Series Producer Sanctum were asked to be involved in a garden created for a well-deserved Durham family. The Hunters recently faced tragedy when father Philip sadly passed away aged 40. Philip and his wife Sam had great plans to get the garden beautiful especially for their eldest son Ethan who is profoundly deaf and struggles to go to local spaces independently. The challenge was to create a safe space where they could frame their beautiful view.
The show producers felt that a Contemporary Studio from Sanctum Garden Studios would fit perfectly in the available space. They wanted lots of glass in the front and back so that Ethan, Sam and his younger brother Joshua could take in the fantastic views of the nature reserve at the back of the garden.
Sanctum Garden Studios agreed to build this gorgeous 2.4m x 2.4m Contemporary Cubed Studio which was installed in just 2 days
The brief was to build a studio in a specific garden space with lots of light. The views at the back of the studio were direct into the nature reserve so it was essential that the doors and windows fully maximized this for the family to enjoy. Double doors were added to the front of the studio with a large picture window in the rear wall to mirror the front. With these in place it is possible to see directly through the studio into the nature reserve which was essential to the brief. The Studio was topped off with a fantastic Sedum 'living roof' and the interior was finished with white walls and a Light Oak laminate floor along with electric socket points and low energy LED lighting.
